“Be it Bombay Delhi, Whether stay in Mussoorie… Which language can you read? Batiyah in Bhojpuri…” Dinesh Lal Yadav aka Nirhua has expressed his feelings in Bhojpuri in this way. Nirhua wants Bhojpuri language to get a place in the 8th schedule.Recently, Azamgarh has reached Parliament by winning the Lok Sabha by-election. The actor and Bharatiya Janata Party MP raised the issue of ‘Bhojpuri’ language in his very first speech in the Lok Sabha today. BJP MP Dinesh Lal Yadav demanded the inclusion of Bhojpuri language in the Eighth Schedule.
He said that the work which has not been done till now, that work is being done in this government. Therefore, I have full hope that this demand of mine will be accepted in this government and ‘Bhojpuri’ language will get due respect.
Many parliaments have made this demand before Nirhua
Talking on the demand for inclusion of Bhojpuri language in the 8th schedule, Nirhua said- “Bhojpuri language is spoken by more than 22 crore people in our country. Despite this, till now it has not got due respect. Whereas in our country itself, there are many such languages spoken less than this, which have got a place in the Eighth Schedule. But it is sad that Bhojpuri has not been able to find a place in the Eighth Schedule till now.
BJP MP and Bhojpuri film star Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirhua’, who recently won the Azamgarh Lok Sabha by-election, raised the issue of ‘Bhojpuri’ language in his first speech in Parliament.

In fact, even before BJP MP Dinesh Lal Yadav, many more MPs have raised the issue of Bhojpuri in Parliament. Many other MPs including former Union Minister CP Thakur, former MP Prabhunath Singh, BJP MP and Bhojpuri film stars Manoj Tiwari and Ravi Kishan have also raised the issue of Bhojpuri language in Parliament. But the truth is that till now Bhojpuri language has not got a place in the Eighth Schedule.
Nirhua’s faith- Bhojpuri language will get due respect
Talking to Dinesh Lal Yadav on this issue, he said – This matter of inclusion of Bhojpuri language in the 8th Schedule is going on since 1967. This matter is not new. Bhojpuri should get language status. Bhojpuri should get its due. Outside our country, it has constitutional status in Nepal, in Mauritius, but Bhojpuri is not getting its right in our country itself. But with the belief that Modi is possible, I have raised this matter and I have full faith that Bhojpuri will definitely get its due respect and status in this government.
Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirhua’ said that all the Bhojpuri-speaking or Bhojpuri-loving MPs, we will all work together on this now. Till the time Bhojpuri does not get due respect, this campaign will continue.
