India and Tanzania have agreed to form a task force to prepare a five-year ‘future roadmap’ to enhance defense cooperation between the two countries. It has been decided to hold the next joint defense cooperation meeting in Tanzania at an earlier date.

Delhi: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Tanzania’s Defense and National Service Minister Dr. A bilateral meeting was held in Delhi between Stergomena Lawrence Tax and held discussions in New Delhi on several issues. Defense cooperation between the two countries was also discussed during the talks. It was mutually agreed to form a task force to prepare a five-year ‘future roadmap’ to enhance defense cooperation between the two countries, and it was decided to hold the next joint defense cooperation meeting in Tanzania at an earlier date.
A wide range of issues related to bilateral, regional and defense industrial cooperation were discussed in the meeting. The two defense ministers reviewed military activities and discussed ways to enhance cooperation in all domains with a focus on defense industry cooperation, a ministry statement said.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has invited a Tanzanian representative to India-Africa Defense Dialogue and Def Expo to be held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat from October 18 to 22. Before this, he visited the National War Memorial of Tanzania and paid homage to the martyred soldiers.
Before leaving for Hyderabad for interaction with Indian defense industries, Dr. The Tax Wargaming Development Center and Information Fusion Center will visit the Indian Ocean region, the statement added.
