IND vs ENG: ‘The Talent Rohit Sharma Has, Virat Kohli Does Not’: Pakistan Batter Says India Captain Can ‘Change The Game In Seconds’

The two single-largest batting superstars, not just in Indian cricket but also globally, are captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. However, even the most devoted admirers have found it difficult to choose one over the other.

Both Rohit and Kohli have their own fan bases, and frequently the two fan bases are at odds with one another. But whenever someone does well, every one of India rejoices. The discussion between Kohli and Rohit has never ended.

Rohit Sharma Has Been Gifted A Lot Of Time By God: Imam-Ul-Haq

Of course, Kohli is the undisputed king of Indian cricket, and no other batsman has even come close to matching his longevity of consistency. However, Rohit has also operated in a league of his own and possesses batting records that Kohli does not; such as centuries in T20Is and double centuries in ODIs.

It is never easy to choose between Rohit and Kohli, and current players tend to provide reasonable responses and favour dodging bouncers. Imam-Ul-Haq of Pakistan is not one of them, though. Imam mentioned the batter with higher talent despite the fact that the renowned Pakistan opening hitter declined to say who the better batter is.

“I feel that the talent Rohit Sharma has, Virat Kohli does not. I have seen them both play but the way Rohit plays, it feels as if he is batting in replay. He has plenty of time. The first time I realised the true meaning of timing because I mostly field at point and I get to know.

Virat Kohli has batted in front of me, and so has Rohit Sharma but Rohit has been gifted a lot of time by God. He is one player who can change the game in seconds. When he is set, he can hit at will,” Imam said on SAMAA News.

Imam has participated in a few India vs. Pakistan games where he has observed Kohli and Rohit bat up close. Imam saw Rohit’s brilliant century at the 2018 Asia Cup, which enabled India to collect 238 runs in 39 overs and win the match by nine wickets.

Imam had a similar beating from Rohit a year later, and his 140 at the 2019 World Cup helped India defeat Pakistan once more in the World Cups. Kohli also hit a freely flowing 85 runs in the same game.
