Hardik Pandya, who significantly contributed India to a 50-run victory in the first T20I in Southampton, said he is focused on giving his all to the limited-overs teams ahead of the T20 and 50-over World Cups.

When asked if he was considering making a comeback to play Test cricket for India, Pandya responded that he was not concentrating too much on what might occur in the future.

Since September 2018, Hardik Pandya has not participated in a Test match due to ongoing back concerns he has had for several years. The possibility of Hardik returning to whites has increased though, as the star all-rounder has returned to his best in the game’s shortest format following a sensational performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.

“It is always a good idea to deliver when your team needs it to win. Having an understanding of the circumstances, I want to do what my team needs “Hardik added.

“Given that that 50 was significant, I would want to give equal weight to both efforts (batting and bowling). Despite losing wickets, we maintained our momentum and scored a good total “Hardik added.

Hardik stated that he will not play if he is not prepared to give his all for the squad and that he never seeks to replace another player.
“At the moment, I am not very concerned with the games we will play in the future. After India’s triumph in Southampton, Hardik informed the media, “I like to make sure that I am accessible for as many matches as possible for India.”

“Since there will soon be major World Cups, white-ball play will be more in demand. I now think it is beneficial for me to play more white-ball cricket for India this season. Absolutely, but only time will tell what I will play and what I should not when the chance to play Test arises. But now that I am focused, I try to give everything I have “Hardik added.

“I will play if I can do it totally as a cricketer. If I am unable to, I won’t. I will not step in for someone else, “Hardik added.

The Indian cricket team will be favoured to win the T20I series when they face England in the second T20I.
