Four killed, two injured in car-tanker collision in UP

A car collided with a tanker on Purvanchal Expressway in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday night, killing four people and injuring two others.

At least four people, including two minors, were killed while two others sustained injuries after a car collided with a tanker on Purvanchal Expressway in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday night.

The accident took place when the car, an SUV, was enroute to Lucknow from Ballia.

As per PTI reports, the deceased have been identified as Shyam Narayan (40), Supriya (21), Jay Verma (14) and Abhigyan Verma (10).

Meanwhile, the injured are D K Verma and his wife Seema, are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital, said Station House Officer (Dostpur) Anil Kumar Mishra.

Further investigations are on.
